Its hard to believe that all the planning....all the fundraising...all the travel and the work....its over. However, I decided while we were down there, that this won't be the end. I am working on establishing a permanent bridge between Glanbrook and SAGA. The wheels are turning, and I have already discussed some plans with Dr. Jochem Lastdrager from the Saga Clinic (I believe I spelled that wrong in my last blog, so if you are reading Jochem, I'm sorry!). I'm excited for the possibilities this could bring. I learned a lot about myself this trip. I realized why I have been wanting to do this since I became a vet....because its amazing!!! It has made me hungry for more. I learned that although I have always said that helping animals is my passion....now I KNOW it is. I learned that my heart can get bigger. I learned that I have a lot to learn. Dr. Jochem doesn't have the tools that I am so blessed to have to make diagnoses. I think I challenge my brain everyday....but this guy has to do the same job without so many things that to me are essential! I have a lot to learn from him. Lastly, I learned that I am terrified of cockroaches :).  About my team.....I learned that Rebecca is one heck of a technician. For a young girl, with so little experience, she sure knows how to get a job done. She impressed me every minute down there. I'm so proud of you Rebecca :). I learned that Crystal has a bigger heart than I knew....she just exudes happiness when she is around animals. It is a pleasure to witness. Thanks for coming with me girls. We are all home safely now, with lots of stories to tell, and work to be done. Looking forward to seeing you all in the near future. Watch for my next blog...."How to become a Canadian Prince or Princess in less than a week....written by Saga and Meestor themselves!! ;). Until next time Saga....
